Director, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting


Our client, a $1.5+billion, growth-oriented, highly profitable biotechnology company with international operations, seeks a high potential, hands-on financial professional to join the Financial Reporting/Technical Accounting team. This Nasdaq-listed company is a leader in their industry, and is anticipating continued 25% year-over-year organic growth over the next 3-5 years. Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting, this critical role will have outstanding exposure/visibility and collaboration with senior management, the Board, business unit leaders and will be involved in interesting, complex business initiatives as well as providing technical advice on potential acquisitions and joint ventures.  This person will be responsible for SEC reporting and other external/management reporting matters, GAAP compliance, supervise/review/prepare10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings, operational finance, and special projects.   Given the breadth and depth of this role for a company of this size and complexity, this is truly a unique experience for a motivated and driven professional.  They are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation combined with a strategic business sense who can add significant value to the organization.  This is an excellent career opportunity with significant upward career progression.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required. Must have experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm, preferably with strong exposure to public companies with complex business transactions.
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience, preferably with relevant experience with public companies and/or pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing or technology companies.
  • Must have experience in SEC reporting and US GAAP accounting for large public companies.
  • Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence; must be a self-starter and an independent thinker able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • High potential, hands-on, financial professional with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
