COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client – a dynamic $50+ billion revenue, NYSE, acquisition-oriented, international, industrial/manufacturing conglomerate – seeks a hands-on professional to join their corporate development team.  The parent company, with a market capitalization in excess of $25 billion, has an impressive history of growth both organically and through acquisitions, and anticipates significant growth in both revenue and earnings over the next 3-5 years. Historically, this organization has produced above average financial results and is viewed as a leader in their sector/industry.  The company evaluates several hundred situations annually and has deployed billions in capital over the past three years adding over 40+ companies to their portfolio.  Their transactions reach a variety of industries and enterprise values range from several million to billions of dollars.  The company has a high quality, experienced, innovative management team, which has led the company over the last 10 years through impressive annual growth.  The company has a consistent track record of providing outstanding career opportunities to high potential financial professionals. The position is located in the metro Washington DC area.

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, this person will be designated as a high-potential performer that will work closely with executive management supporting the execution of their merger and acquisition transactions.  This person will play a key role in identifying and measuring sources of risk and/or value associated with proposed transactions as well as analyzing acquisition target’s financial and operational information, conduct interviews of target company management, and quantify valuation impacts. This person will help achieve deal objectives through a cross-functional, team-oriented approach and responsibilities will included due diligence, accounting analysis, transaction execution, valuation analysis and sale/purchase agreement review.  Outstanding visibility and career progression/advancement.

A competitive package with annual cash compensation consistent with experience level. Comprehensive full relocation package will be provided if required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with dedicated experience in transaction services in Big 4 or similar professional services environment.
  • Prior audit experience and significant knowledge of US GAAP.  Ability to adapt to various industries.  Audit experience strongly preferred.
  • A hands-on, take-charge financial professional with strong quantitative and analytical skills. 
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.  Strong business and common sense.
  • Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader. Must be willing to travel internationally.
  • Prior experience or exposure/exposure to manufacturing industry and inventory/cost accounting desired.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
