Accounting Manager

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this critical role will have outstanding exposure/visibility and collaboration with senior management, business unit leaders and will be involved in interesting, complex business initiatives.  This person will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring and analyzing data within the accounting department to produce accurate, timely reports.  Additionally, this person will manage, mentor, and develop a strong team of accounting professionals and devise/execute best-in-class standards and practices within the group. They are looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation combined with a solid business sense who can add significant value to the organization.  This is an excellent career opportunity with significant upward career progression.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, with 2 years of supervising experience, preferably with relevant experience with public companies and/or pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing or technology companies.
  • Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence; must be a self-starter and an independent thinker able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team, as well as communicate effectively with business unit leaders and senior management.
  • High potential, hands-on, financial professional with strong quantitative and analytical skills.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
