Senior Director, Treasury

Our client, a $1.5+ billion, growth-oriented, highly profitable biotechnology company with international operations, seeks a high potential, hands-on financial professional to join their financial management team as Senior Director of Treasury. This public company is a leader in their industry, and anticipates continued 25% year-over-year organic growth over the next 3-5 years. POSITION INFORMATION:

Position:   

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance, this newly created role will have outstanding exposure/visibility and collaboration with senior management, the Board, business unit leaders and will be involved in a diversity of interesting, complex business initiatives.  This person will be instrumental in creating and implementing best-in-class processes/procedures for the treasury function.  Currently the majority of the treasury responsibilities are being handled by the CFO and others in the finance/accounting group, and they are looking for a bright, high-potential person who can successfully take over these duties. 

This person’s duties will include the oversight of cash / investment management, debt compliance, treasury related controls, cash forecasting, review of SOX compliance efforts related to operational treasury activities and special projects. Given the breadth and depth of this role, this is a unique opportunity for a motivated and driven treasury professional.  They seek someone with an accounting/operational treasury foundation combined with a strategic business sense who can add significant value to the organization.  This is an excellent career opportunity with upward career progression.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of Finance.
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) and/or CPA strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant treasury, accounting, and finance related experience.  Prior experience in a Big 4 or national/ regional public accounting firm preferred.
  • Working knowledge of banking industry rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, M&A, along with prior experience working in public companies preferred.
  • Prior experience using ERP systems or other large enterprise-wide systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Articulate with a professional presence; must be a self-starter and an independent thinker who can multi-task and prioritize.
  • High potential, hands-on, financial professional with strong leadership and communication skills. 

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
