Vice President, Global Tax

We have been retained by a NYSE $10 billion market cap business services industry leader with significant global international operations to search for a high potential tax professional to join the tax management team.  The company, a $4+ bil complex acquisition-oriented, multi-business line business expects future expansion through organic growth and transactional activity.  The high quality senior management team is experienced, innovative, hands-on and is committed to achieving profitability benchmarks over the next five years.  The company operates in 52 countries with over 24,000 employees, and has over 1,400 locations worldwide.  Its disciplined M&A strategy has driven shareholder value and expanded business offerings – within the last three years the company successfully integrated a transformative acquisition that increased its access to high-growth emerging markets while creating greater economies of scale.  The company is headquartered in the Boston area. 

POSITION INFORMATION:

Position:   

In this newly created position reporting to the Senior Vice President of Tax, this is a very diverse role with strong visibility to all areas of the company including senior management, legal, corporate development, operations and the Board.  They seek a high potential r professional with the capability to grow beyond this role with strong international experience, with the ability to manage/lead complex international transactions as well as lead tax/business tax planning/strategy efforts both on a domestic and international basis.  lead, manage, and strategize effectively.  This critical position will work closely with the Head of Tax on all tax matters to manage the effective tax rate and ensure the company is in compliance with all tax matters on a worldwide basis. The Vice President of Tax will be involved in the structuring of numerous acquisitions and dispositions as well as special projects.

This is a highly visible, interesting, complex position for a high potential, business-oriented tax professional

 

Compensation:

Excellent compensation program which includes salary, annual performance bonus and annual equity grant. If needed, full relocation will be provided along with recognition/compensation for any unvested equity and earned, unpaid bonuses

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area; Masters - Tax / JD preferred. CPA required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in a complex global environment such as multinational company or Big 4 firm.  Prior Big 4 tax experience required.
  • Proven leadership and management skills. Prior experience managing global tax professionals with strong interest and track record of hiring, developing / mentoring key talent. 
  • Strong experience, knowledge and understanding of international tax matters and C-Corp tax laws / regulations.
  • Strong background/experience in tax strategy / planning, compliance and accounting on a multi-national level including transfer pricing, corporate tax matters and mergers & acquisitions. 
  • Strong problem solving, leadership, organizational skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  We seek someone who can become a strong business partner to the senior leadership team and others.
  • Strategic, highly motivated, focused, hands-on professional along with strong business/common sense. Highest level of integrity, ethics and commitment level expected.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
