Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Board


The Company:

Our client owns/manages a boutique private equity firm with diverse holdings including one of the most prominent global companies headquartered in the Washington, DC Metro area. This individual also sits on numerous prominent public company Boards and Philanthropic organizations. We seek an experienced Executive Assistant to work closely with this individual and the Family Office/Private Equity Firm to help manage their professional/personal life. The office environment is positive, respectful and focused towards quality. The company/owner seeks an outstanding, polished professional to be his right-hand professional and personal assistant.  The Owner/Chairman has an outstanding reputation in the marketplace for being innovative, quality-driven, humble, respective, appreciative and fair.  The family office/private equity firm has diverse holdings and anticipates continued growth over the next five+ years. They are looking for a bright, responsible, trusted, person who has history in this type of position and understands the importance, scope and confidentiality of this important, critical position.  The organization provides meaningful, rewarding, long-term career opportunities with a positive work environment and low turn-over.  The office is located in a desirable, metro-accessible area of Washington, DC.   



The Executive Assistant will report directly to the Chairman and work closely with other members of the Family Office/Private Equity Firm and assist in all aspects of three primary categories:  business, personal, and home.  Specific duties include:

  • Scheduling and assuring preparation for internal and external meetings with business associates, investors, contractors, attorneys, employees, etc.
  • Managing calls, emails, daily schedules with multiple calendars, travel coordination and itineraries.
  • Capturing meeting action items, including meeting minutes as appropriate.
  • Compose correspondence, via both e-mail and hard copy, to investors, lenders, contractors, attorneys, employees, etc. regarding all manner of company and personal business.
  • Create, organize and manage files, due diligence binders, correspondence files, and spreadsheet information.
  • Develop spreadsheets and reports for special projects as required.
  • Research individuals, locations, financial or real estate and personal information.
  • Gather and organize information to be sent out to investors, lenders, appraisers, buyers, sellers, third parties, attorneys, potential lessees, etc. for due diligence and work with every department to gather information for projects and personal matters.
  • Organize marketing and manage/coordinate events and social activities.
  • Numerous Special Projects as required

Compensation:  Excellent compensation package includes competitive base salary in excess of $100,000 plus bonus plus strong benefits



  • Minimum 15 years of prior relevant experience. Prior experience working for/supporting “C-Suite” Level executives.  Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Individual must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with ever-changing deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, poised, well-polished, and able to take direction.
  • The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and a team player who is energetic with strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented.
  • Highest level of confidentiality, trust, commitment and loyalty. Capable of working with complete discretion.
