Assistant Controller


Our client, a publicly traded, acquisition-oriented, international, industrial / manufacturing company, seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller to join the senior financial management team. The company has an impressive history of growth both organically and through acquisitions, and anticipates significant growth in both revenue and earnings over the next 3-5 years. Our client has a high-quality, experienced & innovative management team which has led it through impressive annual growth. The company has a consistent track record of providing outstanding career opportunities to high potential financial professionals. This opportunity is located in Dallas, TX.


Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will manage and lead the corporate accounting function. This hands-on, high-potential person will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger/close process, technical accounting, managing the corporate budget/forecast/payroll, company consolidations, financial systems, stock compensation accounting, as well as supporting the Financial Reporting team.  This person will be expected to take on additional responsibilities upon gaining the trust and confidence of leadership and will interface frequently with business leaders across the organization. The company seeks someone who has the potential and desire to move, in time, to another strategic senior financial management leadership role within the company.  This person will be designated as the successor to the Corporate Controller.


  • BS in Accounting; CPA required.
  • Manufacturing industry experience either in a corporate environment or public accounting – public company/SEC exposure required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and financial experience, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting/financial reporting. Prior Big4 Public Accounting experience required.
  • Ability to drive change and have an understanding of continuous improvement desired. 
  • Comfortable working in a decentralized company environment. 
  • Desire to work in a cohesive corporate headquarters environment with a take-charge senior management team that is interested in growth and driving change.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills along with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  Solid team orientation and work ethic.
  • Highest level of ethics, integrity, credibility, and common sense.
  • Ability/willingness to travel 10-15% of the time.
