Senior Associate, Asset Management

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We have been retained by one of the most prestigious, prominent commercial real estate owners/developers in the metro Washington D.C. area.  The company is looking for a bright, high potential individual for a newly created position in asset management.  For the past 20 years, the company has focused on value creation across all asset classes, including office, multi-family, retail, hotel, and land held for development.  The company has completed over $4.7B of transactions in the DC area, achieving exceptional returns.  The executive management team is highly reputable and widely recognized for being strategic, innovative, and entrepreneurial.  The company is well-positioned for continued success and expansion and they have an outstanding culture that is positive, motivated, and team-oriented. 

POSITION INFORMATION:

This is a newly created role, this person will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Asset Management, who has an impressive background and is an excellent mentor.  Initially this position will be responsible for providing analytical support to executives in asset management, investments, and development.  This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data used in making critical investment decisions. The core responsibilities will include analysis, modeling, valuation, due diligence, strategy, and special projects. This person will assist in preparing and updating strategic business plans, annual operating budgets, and financial analysis of pro-forma scenarios.  This is an outstanding opportunity to gain broad asset class exposure while helping to build and standardize processes.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related.
  • 3-5 years of relevant quantitative/analytical experience in real estate. Prior commercial office or retail experience preferred. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  Enjoy working in a fast-paced, informal, fluid environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while allocating time between multiple tasks, deadlines, and opportunities.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned, decisive recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Strong analytical skills and solid financial aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
