Corporate Internal Audit Senior Manager/Manager

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client, a dynamic $3+ billion revenue, NYSE, acquisition-oriented, international, healthcare manufacturing conglomerate, seeks take-charge audit professional to join the senior financial management team. This company is a spin-off from a top tier conglomerate.  The parent company has an impressive history of growth both organically and through acquisitions, and anticipates significant growth over the next 3-5 years that will more than double the company’s annual revenue.  Historically, this organization has produced above average financial results, with its stock outperforming the S&P 500 by a wide margin.  The company has a high quality, experienced, and innovative management team, which has led the company over the last 10 years through impressive annual growth in excess of 25% per year in revenue, EPS and stock appreciation.  The company has a consistent track record of providing outstanding career opportunities to high potential financial professionals.  The opportunity is located in Southern California.    

POSITION INFORMATION:

The person in this highly visible role will be responsible for diverse and challenging responsibilities within a world-class internal audit group. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, planning and directing the financial audits of multiple subsidiaries, coordinating the external audit, integration support for acquisitions, and conducting special projects, as well as building positive working relationships across the organization.  The internal audit function is specifically geared to developing talented, high-potential financial professionals who can be promoted in 2-4 years. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the business and its operations.  Previous successful candidates have moved into challenging financial roles, either in an operating company or within the corporate headquarters.

 

Compensation: A competitive package with an annual cash compensation package, including

bonus and stock options.  Full relocation provided. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years’ experience. Big 4 experience and/or corporate internal audit experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about US GAAP and current financial reporting trends. 
  • Experience with SOX 404 and internal control assessments is required.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.  Strong business acumen and common sense.
  • Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader.  Must be open to domestic and international travel. 
  • CPA required and CIA/MBA a plus. Manufacturing industry experience or exposure to inventory/cost accounting preferred.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
