Director of Purchasing - Award Winning Homebuild/Developer

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Construction Operations, this person will have valuable exposure to the top-notch executive team, who are highly-regarded and excellent mentors in the industry.  This person will lead and support the purchasing function for homebuilding projects in the areas of budgeting, bidding, and contract negotiation.  This position will also be responsible for facilitating positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and others relating to the building process.  Additionally, this person will assure projects are appropriately following compliance guidelines.  This is a great company with strong career opportunities beyond this role.  Montgomery County MD, metro accessible location.  

Compensation:

Excellent compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and car allowance.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience in vertical construction of single family or townhomes in the local DC metro area market.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to be hands-on, self-motivated, while communicating effectively with executive management, project managers, and external subcontractors/vendors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, innovative mentality and receptive to change.
  • Highest level of ethics and integrity.
  • Positive attitude with effective networking abilities.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
