COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We have been retained by a NYSE-listed, complex, $10 billion market cap business services REIT with significant global international operations to perform a search for a high potential financial professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis function in a leadership position.  The company is an acquisition-oriented, multi-business line, $4 billion revenue industry leader and expects future expansion through organic growth and transactional activity.  The senior management team is high-quality, experienced, innovative, and hands-on and is committed to achieving profitability benchmarks over the next five years.  The company operates in 47 countries with over 24,000 employees, and has 1,400+ facilities worldwide.  Its disciplined M&A strategy has driven shareholder value and expanded business offerings – within the last three years the company successfully integrated a transformative acquisition that increased its access to high-growth emerging markets while creating greater economies of scale.  The company is headquartered in a desirable, prominent city in the New England area. 

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Global Vice President, this Director of FP&A will be the financial point-person for executive leadership, business unit leaders, emerging businesses, strategy, and investors.  The Director will be responsible for long term strategic planning, defining the budgeting process and setting targets and expectations for business units, company financial consolidations, generating financial reports and commentary for executive leadership and investors, providing analytical support for M&A and other special projects, and leading and mentoring a small team.  This person will also be responsible for financial business systems and leading process improvement projects across the organization.

This is a highly visible, interesting, complex position for a high potential, business-oriented financial professional

 

Compensation:

Competitive annual compensation package. Comprehensive full relocation package will be provided if required.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 7+ years of related finance experience in a complex, multinational corporation within a corporate setting.  Diverse experience within operational finance a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field required.  MBA preferred.
  • A detail-oriented professional with a high level of integrity and dependability and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required; familiarity and comfort with financial systems (notably Hyperion) a plus.
  • Must possess strong business acumen and common sense.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability/willingness to interact with executives, Board members, and other business leaders.
  • A career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader who is willing to be hands-on.
  • Some REIT exposure highly desirable.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
