Senior-Level Construction Project Manager (with Career Pathing into Development)

We are currently retained by one of the leading and most successful real estate developers in the DC metro area in their search for a strong, high-potential senior-level construction project manager.  Over the past fifteen years, the company has completed over $500 million worth of condominiums, apartments, hotels, retail, and commercial properties, with approximately 2 million square feet currently under development.  They have an outstanding history and track-record of success, and are well-known for completing complex, well designed, quality projects in key urban metropolitan sites.  This award winning company is best-in-class, entrepreneurial, with a strong executive management team, recognized for being strategic and innovative.  They have an excellent pipeline of activity and are well structured for continued growth and success.  The company culture is positive, team-oriented, and they provide employees with highly rewarding career experiences.

POSITION INFORMATION:

Position:

This newly created position will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Development, who is an outstanding mentor and has an excellent background.  They are looking for a bright, high-potential construction professional to oversee the daily management of one of their most premier, high-profile, complex projects.  Additionally, this person will have excellent exposure and collaboration with the development team.  Over time, this person will subsequently move into a development position within the company upon completion of this project.  This is an outstanding opportunity that offers autonomy, upward mobility into development, as well as valuable exposure to senior management. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or architecture required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant, ground-up construction experience on commercial office, multi-family residential and/or retail.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, informal, fluid environment with changing priorities and minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
