Senior Associate/ Vice President- Asset Management


We have been retained by one of the most prestigious, prominent commercial real estate owners/developers in the metro Washington D.C. area.  The company is looking for a bright, high potential individual for a newly created position in asset management.  For the past 20 years, the company has focused on value creation across all asset classes, including office, multi-family, retail, hotel, and land held for development.  This private equity firm has completed over $5B of transactions in the DC area, achieving exceptional returns.  The executive management team is highly reputable and widely recognized for being strategic, innovative, and entrepreneurial.  The company is well-positioned for continued success and expansion and they have an outstanding culture that is positive, motivated, and team-oriented. 


This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Asset Management, who has an impressive background and is an excellent mentor.  This position will be responsible for managing and overseeing an impressive portfolio in the DC metro area, ranging from stabilized assets to major repositionings.  This person will be strategic in making influential recommendations to maximize the financial value of assets through the development of short- and long-term strategic business plans, while also gaining valuable exposure and interaction with executive management.  Given the entrepreneurial structure of the company, this person will also have meaningful interface with various functional areas including acquisitions, development, property management, leasing, and joint venture relations.  This is an outstanding opportunity to gain broad asset class exposure while helping to build, strategize and standardize best-in-class processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant real estate asset management and/or acquistions experience required. Prior commercial office or retail experience strongly preferred. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  Enjoy working in a fast-paced, informal, fluid environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while allocating time between multiple tasks, deadlines, and opportunities.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned, decisive recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Strong analytical skills and solid financial aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
