Manager / Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Treasury

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We have been engaged by our client, one of the most prestigious, prominent commercial real estate owners/developers headquartered in the Washington, DC metro area.  They are looking for a bright, strategic, high-potential professional to join the accounting and finance team for one of the most iconic, premier, complex, mixed-use development projects in the country.  This is a $2.5 billion project which upon completion will include over 3 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, office, retail, and restaurants at one of the most sought-after locations in the DC metro area.  The team overseeing this project is talented, quality-oriented, and passionate about what they do.  The leaders are visionary and highly regarded in the marketplace, making this an exceptional opportunity to work in one of the most innovative and state of the art work environments in real estate.  The company recognizes and rewards dedicated, hardworking employees with continued upward career pathing and financial incentives.  This is a truly unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to one of the most renown and dynamic development projects in the country.  

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting directly to the Vice President & Controller, who is an excellent mentor and leader, this is a newly created and critical position for the organization.  This role will be responsible for financial reporting, technical accounting, as well as helping to build the treasury and cash management function.  This person will also be the key liaison with their external auditor, as well as having valuable exposure to all functional areas of the organization, including asset management, development, property management, and the talented executive leadership team.  The environment is positive, forward-thinking, and collaborative.  This person will gain excellent work experience with one of the most iconic real estate projects in the country, and it is a role that offers excellent positioning for upward mobility and career pathing.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public Accounting/Corporate mix background and CPA highly preferred.
  • Real estate industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking with strong attention to detail. 

 

 

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
