COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We have been retained by a rapidly growing, sophisticated, high profile, bipartisan non-profit organization.  With operations throughout the country and 400+ employees, the organization is at a critical time and is well positioned for continued growth.  The organization has assembled a top-caliber board and senior management team to take the organization beyond its current level of success.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and have an impact on the lives of people across the globe.

POSITION INFORMATION:

As a key member of the senior management team, this person will report directly to the CEO.  The position will oversee Finance/Accounting and IT.  This person will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategy to the organization and build the financial policies and procedures. This person will provide strategic initiatives to position the company for future growth and be responsible for infrastructure build out, financial planning & strategy, while also providing strong leadership throughout the organization.  There is a strong focus on ensuring the organization has the highest level of financial health along with stellar information technology capabilities.  

Compensation: Excellent compensation package.  If necessary, the organization will provide relocation assistance

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate:

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant broad-based financial experience.  Prior Big 4 public accounting experience preferred along with experience in not-for-profit as well as for-profit organizations. Advanced degree (MBA) or CPA preferred.
  • Exposure to an organization with donor/revenue complexities.
  • Proven management/leadership capabilities for a team of 20+.
  • Ability to build infrastructure, set and execute strategy, and create solid processes and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal audiences at all levels, external relationships, and Board of Directors.
  • A hands-on, take charge financial professional with strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Highest level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong business and common sense.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
