Real Estate Sr. Analyst / Associate

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client is an entrepreneurial, prominent diversified commercial real estate owner / developer and real estate services company with a consistent history / track record of success, most notably owning Class A assets in the DC Metro area.  They own/develop in a variety of asset product types including hotel, office, multi-family, retail in addition to having various real estate service companies that are synergistic to the real estate assets they own. The company is currently executing on a strategic, aggressive growth plan both with regard to acquisitions, as well as development and currently have over $200 million of new construction projects in the development pipeline. This position is critical to support the company’s growth. The company is located in a Metro accessible location in the downtown DC area. The culture is entrepreneurial, friendly, and transactions-driven.

POSITION INFORMATION:

In this diverse role, the Senior Analyst/Associate will report directly to the CFO and be primarily involved in acquisition analysis for existing commercial assets and new development projects. This person will also be involved in capital market activities as well as asset management for the existing portfolio. The role has high visibility in an entrepreneurial environment with strong possibility for career growth. The successful, high potential candidate will have strong analytical skills and enjoy working on multiple transactions. The person in this role will be expected to hit the ground running and be comfortable handling modeling in addition to managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They should be loyal, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic.

Core Competencies/Skill Sets include:

  • Prepare pro forma financials for acquisitions and financings of residential, office and hotel properties.
  • Asset management of the company’s portfolio.
  • Gather and evaluate economic and real estate market data.
  • Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations, and deal structuring.
  • Provide project management assistance, working collaboratively with multiple departments on issue identification and resolution.
  • Maintain financial database and document information to-date.

Compensation: Excellent compensation package, including competitive base salary, bonus, and strong benefits. Equity / profit-participation program provided for new investments.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an analyst / analytical role with acquisitions, investment sales or capital markets experience.
  • Experienced in Excel / financial modeling required. Exposure to Argus preferred, not required.
  • Experience in hospitality and/or commercial real estate (office or multi-family) is desired.
  • Masters of Business Administration or Masters in Real Estate is a plus.
  • The person in this role will be expected to hit the ground running, be analytical, enjoy managing multiple priorities, and thrive in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They should be loyal, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
