Regional Property Manager

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client is a prominent, award-winning, nationally recognized real estate owner and manager of Class A multifamily properties in strategic markets across the United States.  The company owns and manages over 30,000 multi-family units, primarily in high-growth urban markets throughout the country. They are looking for a high potential, experienced, property management professional with strong leadership/management skills to join the organization as a Regional Property Manager for their largest portfolio in the country.  This dynamic company has been recognized as an industry leader and is well positioned for future growth and expansion.  The company culture is outstanding as they are forward-thinking, family-oriented, and give back to employees.  This position is located in the greater Washington, DC metro area. 

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, who has an impressive background and is an excellent mentor, this individual will be responsible for the management and operations of a meaningful portfolio, totaling 10 communities and approximately 2,000 units.  The company desires an experienced, strategic property management leader for this highly visible, critical position.  This person will be responsible monitoring performance of all assets across the portfolio, in addition to mentoring and retaining a top-caliber management team.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with owners, third-party vendors, and across all areas of the company (asset management, leasing, development, etc.).  Individuals with a polished executive presence and strong management skills are highly desired.  This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact to one of the top management companies in the country, and they offer excellent career advancement and opportunities to high-performing individuals. 

Compensation: Excellent compensation package including competitive base salary, annual bonus, car allowance, and excellent benefits.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive property management experience with at least 5 years of managerial/executive experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • Current or former experience in the multifamily sector with Class A/B assets.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience dealing with investors, ownership, and outside consultants.  The person should have the ability to provide solutions in a positive, constructive manner while gaining the confidence and support of others.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.  Given the exposure and visibility this person will have, the successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Self-direction, diplomacy, and analytical thinking with courteous and professional manor when dealing with people.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive attitude.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
