VP/SVP, Head of Hospitality & Branding

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

We have been retained by one of the most prestigious and prominent owners and developers of trophy-class commercial real estate in the Mid-Atlantic in regards to a search for a Vice President/Senior Vice President, Head of Hospitality & Branding.  The company has an iconic portfolio of mixed-use and office assets, along with substantial, impressive projects currently under development and a strong pipeline throughout the region.  They are currently seeking a thoughtful, strategic, innovative professional to lead and oversee the Hospitality, Marketing, and Branding division of the company.  The executive management team has an outstanding reputation, a history and track record of success, and they have positioned the company for continued growth and expansion through substantial transactional activity.  The company has an innovative, progressive management team, combined with the foundation for significant growth and change in the short to medium term.  The national headquarters is located in a desirable area of Washington, DC.  This is a unique, special opportunity to join a well-capitalized, established company as they go through an exciting period of growth and development.        

POSITION INFORMATION:

This newly created position will be reporting directly to the President of the company, while interacting on a daily basis with key business unit leaders of the organization, including property operations, asset management, and investments.  The executive team has strategized a truly innovative concept of bringing a luxury, highly amenitized hospitality experience to their commercial office/mixed-use portfolio to form an iconic brand.  This person will be critical in further creating, leading and implementing this vision across the platform, as well as overseeing a talented marketing and design team.  This person will drive the marketing and branding efforts throughout the company while instilling a passion for hospitality, exceptional service, attention to detail – ultimately creating a memorable experience for the tenants, team members, investors, and real estate community.  This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of implementing a ground-breaking, cutting-edge concept to one of the most successful commercial real estate companies in the DC metro area and Mid-Atlantic regions.  They are looking for a forward-thinking leader who can make a significant, positive impact to the company.

Compensation: Excellent compensation package includes competitive base salary, annual bonus, and potential equity.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in hotel, hospitality and/or high-end customer experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Hotel Management, Real Estate, Business, Economic, or related field.  MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in rolling out a newly created high-end or luxury hospitality brand.
  • Ability to respectfully drive and influence change with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Thoughtful, strategic, hands-on leader who has a strong executive presence and embraces a best-in-class hospitality mindset.  Ability to gain the trust and confidence of others quickly, and lead by example.
  • Ability to guide interior design decisions preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing training programs.  Ability to coach/motivate team.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
