Supply Chain / Procurement Manager


Our client, a publicly traded, acquisition-oriented, international, industrial / manufacturing company, seeks a take-charge professional to join the management team of a complex operating company. This person will report to the Segment VP of Finance and partner with the divisional supply chain/procurement team.  This role is highly visible within the organization and will work closely with the senior leadership team. In this highly decentralized environment, this person will have full responsibility for the team sourcing key raw materials, packaging and supplies to support the manufacturing operations.  The ideal candidate will possess a balance of executive level strategic planning skills, experience leading people at various organization levels, and willingness to engage tactically in purchasing, vendor management, and process improvement activities. This position has been benchmarked for high caliber talent and will provide significant upward career mobility and opportunities, both in corporate as well as operating companies.   

Compensation: A competitive package with annual cash compensation consistent with experience level. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial distribution, or related field from a top tier University; Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 5 – 10 years of comprehensive supply chain experience. 3-5 years of management and leadership experience including building high performing teams.
  • Experience with sourcing and planning for raw materials needs to ensure adequate stock availability in-line with the manufacturing production plan.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills. Ability to model lead times, safety stock, inventory turns, weeks in stock, and reorder points.
  • Experience leading vendor selection, qualification, and negotiations.  Experience with setting contractual terms and leading progressive approaches to attaining a favorable position for the company (i.e. reverse auctions, multiple vendor sources, etc.).
  • Knowledge of public company best practices with strong change management/project management skills.  Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, and process redesign for efficiency a plus.
  • Experience creating high performing teams, managing both individual contributor and management level employees.
