Chief Financial Officer


We have been retained by one of the most prominent industry leaders in multi-family property management sector to find a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join their executive management team.  Headquartered in the Mid-Atlantic, the company owns and manages a robust and impressive portfolio of over 30,0000 multi-family units across the country.  The company has a diversified portfolio that includes conventional, tax-credit and federally assisted apartments.  With a highly reputable management team and a long-term, value-oriented culture, they seek a strategic financial professional to join the executive management group.  This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a nationally recognized, successful organization that is going through continued growth and expansion.  


Reporting directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer, this person will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will have overall responsibility for the finances and financial strategy of the company and its affiliates.  Specifically, this person will be responsible for managing and reporting on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs of the company, including reporting to the Board and ownership; cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and oversight of all aspects of the accounting department.  The CFO will be a key decision maker in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic business plan.  Individuals with a polished executive presence and strong management skills are highly desired.  As a member of the corporate executive team and key advisor to the Board of Directors, this position has strong career growth, high visibility and exposure to ownership.

Compensation: Excellent compensation package includes competitive base, bonus, and equity.  If needed, relocation will be provided. 


  • Bachelor’s and/or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related areas required. 
  • CPA required. 
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years’ experience in a high-level/executive capacity. 
  • Excellent technical and managerial proficiency in operations of a real estate industry organization. 
  • Experience operating tax-credit/affordable housing projects highly desired, as well as multi-site and multi-state experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to work with people at multiple levels.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and a balanced approach to both detail orientation and strategic leadership skills.
