Operations Controller

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client, an acquisition-oriented, international, publicly traded, $1B+ Revenue manufacturing company, seeks a take-charge financial professional to join the senior management team. The company has a portfolio of innovative, sustainable, highly-reputable products and boasts significant market share in the space. The company has an impressive history of growth both organically and through acquisitions, and it anticipates significant growth in both revenue and earnings over the next 3-5 years. The company has a consistent track record of providing outstanding career opportunities to high potential financial professionals. This position will be based in a desirable location in Virginia.

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this newly created position will partner with the VP of Operations and will provide financial direction for all operations activities. This person will manage and mentor financial leaders in the various manufacturing locations across the US. This person will provide financial / business advice on manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, product cost, inventory, and working capital. This Controller is responsible for the compilation, review, and presentation/communication of budget, forecast, and actual financial statements for the operations group. This person will also drive improvement and set ambitious goals in operational financial processes as well as drive new technologies and efficiencies. We are seeking a high potential performer who can operate with a high-level strategic mindset while keeping an eye on the details, and someone who can take on additional responsibilities and be promoted with time.

Compensation: A competitive package with annual cash compensation consisting of salary and generous bonus program. If required, comprehensive full relocation package will be provided.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 8+ years relevant experience in manufacturing finance/accounting positions. Prior experience in large, complex manufacturing setting preferred.
  • BS in Accounting / Finance or related required; MBA / CPA a plus but not required. Prior audit / public accounting experience desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with cost/inventory required - preferably leadership experience within a plant/factory setting.
  • A hands-on, take-charge financial professional with strong financial and analytical skills. Detail-oriented and able to work within a matrix management structure.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong business and common sense. Ability to make effective decisions in ambiguity.
  • Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader with strong communication skills.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
