Cost Accounting Manager

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client, a publicly traded, acquisition-oriented, international, industrial / manufacturing company, seeks a take-charge Cost Accounting professional to join the senior management team of a complex operating company. The company has an impressive history of growth both organically and through acquisitions, and anticipates significant growth in both revenue and earnings over the next 3-5 years. POSITION INFORMATION:

This person will report to the Director of Finance and they will be responsible for leading the Cost Accounting function for the business. The role will be heavily involved with inventory management, costing, month-end close, reporting & analysis, commercial support, and special projects. This person will be expected to evaluate current procedures and processes and make recommendations to improve operations and efficiencies. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an established company that is poised to continue its aggressive growth. Compensation: A competitive package with annual cash compensation consistent with experience level.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from top tier university.
  • 7 - 10 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory and applications of principles (GAAP)
  • Experience work in JD Edwards ERP system and ERP implementation or conversion experience a plus.
  • A hands-on, take-charge financial professional with strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work within a matrix management structure.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong business and common sense.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
