Investment Analyst/Associate


Our client is an entrepreneurial, renewable-energy-focused private equity firm headquartered in the DC area.  The company's proven strategy has a broad focus across several target energy markets and is focused on deploying capital into the North American power sector as it transitions to a more sustainable footprint.  The leadership has extensive expertise in the power industry, and its principals have worked at leading energy companies and top-tier financial institutions. The company is well positioned to continue its rapid growth through acquisition and optimization while remaining a strong competitor in the space.  The culture of the group is hands-on, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and cordial and offers growth and development opportunities to high performers. This position is located in the Bethesda, MD area.


Our client is seeking Analyst/Associate candidates to join its investment and acquisitions team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to participate in the rapidly evolving North American power sector by evaluating investments in the renewable energy space. Analysts support the firm’s senior investment professionals and work with outside service providers (lawyers, accountants, and lenders) to evaluate and execute investment transactions. Some responsibilities include conducting due diligence on new potential investments, developing detailed financial models pertaining to financing, acquisitions, and operations, monitoring the financial results of the portfolio and proposing new solutions, market research, investor reporting, and more.  This is a highly visible role with an outstanding opportunity to add value and take on additional responsibilities.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package including base salary and generous bonus.


  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or related.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a highly analytical, investments-focused role
  • Strong analytical/financial skills and solid financial aptitude
  • High proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with a natural intellectual curiosity and the utmost level of integrity
  • Proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented commitment to a high-quality work product.
  • Entrepreneurial individual who can function independently and as part of highly collaborative a team. Strong work ethic, driven, hard-working, and desire to learn.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and lead
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve on one’s own when required
