Head of Talent Acquisition, Northeast

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Our client is one of the largest, most prominent, privately-held commercial real estate development and management companies in the country.  They are seeking a bright, talented, polished professional to join their best-in-class commercial real estate team in the Washington, DC metro area.  The region operates as an autonomous business unit and has an impressive list of transactions and accomplishments both regionally and nationally.  The company is very entrepreneurial and continues to expand the region with strategic acquisitions, development projects, and new lines of business.  They have an outstanding reputation for a successful management team and are one of the most respected companies across the country, with excellent, strategic leadership and talented employees who have worked together to form a collaborative, rewarding company culture.

POSITION INFORMATION:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Northeast region this person will be responsible for partnering with managers to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the region and to deliver the best talent to the organization.  Specific duties include responsibility for the full-cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within multiple business units including sourcing, interviewing, team scheduling, reference checking, offer negotiating to onboarding of all new hires. This person will need to develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers and business leaders to maximize the effectiveness of the recruiting process. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the top real estate companies with national recognition while having a great deal of autonomy and ownership over this critical position.

Compensation:  Excellent compensation package including competitive base salary, annual bonus, and strong benefits program.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years staffing/recruitment experience. Combination of agency and in-house recruiting preferred.
  • Clear understanding and ability to lead the full cycle recruitment process which includes sourcing, job description review, interviewing, scheduling, compensation discussions, reference process to onboarding of all new hires.
  • Strong understanding and ability to recruit at all levels of the organization from entry-level to senior management.
  • Expertise with social media and other recruiting tools including but not limited to Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter. Experience with applicant tracking systems, iCIMS is strongly preferred.  
  • The person should have the ability to provide solutions in a positive, constructive manner while gaining the confidence and support of others.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent customer service with strong attention to detail.

TOTAL ESTIMATED ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION: Contingent Upon Experience.
